Pastor Richard Ricard
Richard received Jesus Christ at the age of 10 and was called into full-time ministry at the age of 19. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree Richard returned back to his home church in Connecticut to serve as an assistant pastor for six years. In December 2001 Richard and his family moved to Warrensburg, Missouri to become the Pastor at Bethel.
Richard holds a Master of Arts degree and is currently working on his Master of Divinity. He and his wife, Stephanie, married in 1995 and they have been blessed with two children, Justus and Amber.
When not at church you will find Richard enjoying time with his family or reading a book with a cup of Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla coffee.
Richard’s life verse is I Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
Children's Director Leroy Whelehon
LeRoy Whelehon is from southeast Missouri where He came to know Christ as his savior as a senior in high school. From high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force which took him to Wichita, Kansas for six years and then to Warrensburg, Missouri in 2010. After 8 years in the Air force Leroy entered into full time ministry as the Children’s director at Bethel Baptist church where he is currently on staff
After entering into ministry Leroy pursued and completed his Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University. Leroy has been happily married to his wife Jessica for 10 years and has two children Johnathan, and Emma. When not at church LeRoy has been known to play board games with his kids and watch Vikings football.
LeRoy's life Verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Shane was born in northern Pennsylvania and moved to the Kansas City area at the age of 13. Shane received Christ at the age of 14 and was called into full time ministry at the age of 17. After graduating high school, Shane attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO where he received his bachelor’s degree in Missions. Before becoming the Youth Director at Bethel, Shan e served two years as a Youth Pastor in Ohio. Shane and his family moved back to Missouri in July of 2013 and have been on staff at Bethel since 2015
Shane and his Wife Ashley were married in 2008 and have three children. Curtis, Jeffrey, and Owen
When not at home, you will find Shane spending time with his family, listening to music, or watching sports.
